TRL Gives Back: Creating Beautiful Spaces for San Diego Students
TRL Systems was thrilled to again team up with 365-Connect on a fun-filled, productive day of community service. On a Saturday morning in November, our San Diego branch rallied the troops and dusted off our paint brushes for a day of mural-painting and spirit-lifting. TRL employees, families and friends partnered with the teachers and staff of Chollas Mead Elementary School to undertake an ambitious one-morning facelift project that included:
• Large lunch area mural
• Four playground murals
• Colorful playground map of the United States
We believe in the power of community and art to change lives and spaces. We also believe in being a positive and impactful contributor to the communities across Southern California that TRL Systems locations are a part of. Our hope is that the color, creativity and positivity that we brought to the communal and recreational spaces shared by the students of Chollas Mead will inspire their creative minds and happy hearts.
Our artistic endeavors certainly inspired our own creative minds. Operations Support Associate Ricardo Alvarado, who brought his son to participate alongside him, was grateful for the opportunity to flex his artistic muscle and give back saying, “The reason I took my son Abraham was because TRL has given me a chance to give back to the community while also setting a good example for him. The most fulfilling part of our day was being able to give back to the community while also team-building and meeting the rest of the TRL crew.”
Thank you to everyone who showed up and put in a long day of painting and positivity. The students of Chollas Mead arrived on Monday morning and were shocked to see the new and improved campus quad and lunch area. We’re looking forward to more service projects in 2024!
